Hi…!
I am Mohammed Salman. Well, I have a little constipation of words when people ask me about myself. This is because speaking about me seems to be an excitingly boring topic.

Yes…I said boring, but in comparative terms. Anyways, I am a Mumbaiya. Born and brought up in a small suburb of Mumbai called Mumbra I am a Mechanical Engineer by education. I am working as an IT Professional with one of India’s largest IT Company.

I am passionate about cars, Bikes, gadgets. I often love to read books...any good material.

I started blogging because I had lots of things to say and share with the world.

"You can't build a reputation on what you're going to do"
My Thoughts:
I have lots of plans in my mind. I think i am going to do this, do that and so on. But the truth is that people know me for what i have done and have been doing.

Your reputation amongst people is not by what you think or plan to do, but it is because of your actions.

"Our character is what we do when we think no one is looking."
My Thoughts:
To the world you may be a honest person. Many trust you only because you are a good person. But they all do this because you appear to be that.

But thats not what is called character. Character is what you think about yourself, how much do you value yourself. Thats your true value, thats your true character.

“A teacher teaches lesson first and then takes the exam. Life takes the exam first and then teaches a lesson.”
My Thoughts:
Every Teacher has a different teaching style. Life is also a great teacher and it's style is to teach it the hard way.
Not much to say today....looking forward to hear it from you.

"Nothing is too small to know, and nothing is too big to attempt."

 My Thoughts:
Whether you are at home, work, college or traveling, each day comes with learning. Learning is a rule of life, and life may teach you a lot of lessons.

But it is totally up to us to learn from these lessons that there is really nothing worth ignoring in this world and there is no such situation where you have a valid reason to say – “I can’t attempt this”

"Beware how you take away hope from another human being"
 My Thoughts:
When someone comes to ask to share his/her problems, we might unknowingly transfer our fears to that person. We instead of consoling him might make his situation worse.

This does not mean that you console the other person with false promises. But rather, I mean to say (in context with the above quote) that lets not take away that small light of hope from that guy. Let’s make a conscious effort!
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Monday, 1 Sept '08

I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.

My Thoughts:
Have you seen a blacksmith making things out of tough metal? He first heats the metal and then he forges it into whatever he wants. But can he do the same things so easily with out heating the metal? No…not so easily. And can he do the same thing only by heating the metal? No….Certainly he won’t get what he wants by only heating the metal.

In the above example, let’s put the Forging as your hard work and the Heating as your Luck. Now the same questions and the same answers…..you can achieve something very easily if you have both hard work and luck. It is a little tougher if you have no Luck. But it is impossible to achieve something if you bank on only your Luck.

A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.
--anonymous
My Thoughts:
Many a times we think that if we share with others what we know, or what we have, we might be at some loss. But this is a known fact that this is not true.

Yes of course, you may argue that there could be some material loss when you share your belongings with others, but the fact is that what you get in return is a of much greater value. What you get in return is a personal satisfaction, Love, trust and good relationships which are far more valuable than what you give.

What do you think?
