“Customer is King and King don’t bargain”
--Anonymous
My Thoughts:
This was written on a poster at a stationary shop I visited. And by the way, Enjoy the Quote!
“The important thing is not to stop questioning.”
My Thoughts:
You always accept it as it is. They say it is the conventional truth. This was followed by your forefathers. And that’s the reason you don’t question.

Remember, if you don’t question, your doubts would not be solved. So be ready to challenge the conventional truth.

“The great thing in this world is not so much where you stand, as in what direction you are moving.”
My Thoughts:
On which platform you are standing is not of any importance. The train you take determines your destination.

Same is with your life, where you are – is not important, what you do is what determines your destiny.

“An idealist is one who, on noticing that a rose smells better than a cabbage, concludes that it will also make better soup.”
My Thoughts:
The world is full of such types. They would reach to a conclusion after analyzing anything.

Beware of these people!
“Silly things do cease to be silly if they are done by sensible people in an impudent way.”
My Thoughts:
You might have experienced this, when you tell a joke nobody laughs and when the same joke is told by a standup artist, that a great hit.

I have learned that not only the content matters, but also the presentation does. So the wrapper is as important as the product itself.
“Pain makes man think. Thought makes man wise. Wisdom makes life endurable.”
My Thoughts:
After reading this, does it seems to you that pain is good. Sometimes I think it is. After all, many a times, you learn new things only if you learn form your mistakes.

So the next time you have a painful experience, you know that there would be a happy ending if you have a thought on it.
“Men die for two diametrically opposed reasons: when they value what they seek to defend, and when there is nothing worth living for.”
My Thoughts:
There is some purpose of your valuable life – this is what I have been telling in my previous quotes. And I repeat this again.

When you die, people would remember your deeds, the cause you lived for. In this world, there are people who live for a cause and there are others who don’t have a cause. So which group you want to belong?
“Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.”
My Thoughts:
Just Enjoy the Quote!
“I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.”
My Thoughts:
Today happens to be my Birthday! And I am writing this quote to remind myself that I have lost one year of my life to change the world and to enjoy life.

And doing both is a difficult job. But I would do all my best to bring change this world as I enjoy!
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 20 Mar '09

“Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort in your life makes all the difference.”
--Anonymous
My Thoughts:
Ever heard the story of the giant ship engine that failed? The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure but how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a youngster. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.

Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed! A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars.

"What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!"

So they wrote a note to the old man saying, "Please send us an itemized bill."

The man sent a bill that read:

Tapping with a hammer ........................ $ 2.00
Knowing where to tap ........................... $ 9998.00

“A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him”
My Thoughts:
Don’t be depressed by what people say you or if they ill-treat you. These are like bricks that they throw at you.

You have to make your building of success by these bricks and then show these people your capabilities!
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 18 Mar '09

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”
My Thoughts:
The story goes like this…..once there was a King; he once went for a tour of his kingdom. On his way walking, his foot was hurt by a thorn. Soon he ordered his minister to cover every inch of his kingdom with velvet so that no thorn can hurt him.

But then there was a wise minister who said that “My Lord, why don’t you wear Shoes?” We all behave like the king, just wanting to change the world at first thought. But if you think deeply, you would find that changing oneself is more effective!
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 17 Mar '09

“It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into.”
My Thoughts:
As I had said yesterday, about my appraisal discussion……I tried in all verbal ways to convince my boss that I deserve a better rating but that of course didn’t work.

Then I occurred to me, the words of my Prof. Anthony. He said that teachers don’t give marks to students because they never got those marks. Same applies here, my jerk boss never got a good rating….and the story goes……
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Monday, 16 Mar '09

“The horizon of many people is a circle with a radius of zero. They call this their point of view”
My Thoughts:
Yesterday, yes on Sunday, I was having discussion with my Boss for my appraisal. And I got a feel of this, how someone can be so dumb to have no acknowledgement of someone’s work and say that this is in my point of view.

They cannot see beyond the horizon and don’t want to face the realities and then they say that’s their point of view.

Quote & Thought for the Day -- Saturday, 14 Mar '09

"Every man has his own destiny: the only imperative is to follow it, to accept it, no matter where it leads him."
My Thoughts:
As I have said in my earlier quotes that each one of us has a reason to be here on earth. And that each one of us has a destiny written.

So understand that whatever happens; happens for a reason. You need to understand this and follow your destiny. But that’s not it! You should be able to accept your destiny and do what is correct for all.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 13 Mar '09

“You may delay, but time will not.”
My Thoughts:
As it is said – Time and Tide wait’s for none. You may stop for the time being, but time would not.

Your days on earth are numbered. You better catch up with time so that you complete your task on this earth.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Thursday, 12 Mar '09

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
My Thoughts:
Most of the times we say thank you to people but the other person knows that’s a blank envelope. You are saying that just for the sake; to complete the tradition.

That’s not what gratitude is, it’s only a gesture to complete the tradition! Gratitude is what you really say from your heart and you live by your words.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 11 Mar '09

“Real strength is not just a condition of one's muscle, but tenderness in one's spirit.”
--McCallister Dodds
My Thoughts:
Mother Teresa was a old woman, weaker physically. But does that physical weakness stop her from spreading the message of peace? Certainly not!

All that matters is the strength of the inside. The strength to do the right thing is courage.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 10 Mar '09

“Empty pockets never held anyone back. Only empty heads and empty hearts can do that.”
My Thoughts:
As simple as that; no further comments on this!
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Monday, 9 Mar '09

“While we are focusing on fear, worry, or hate, it is not possible for us to be experiencing happiness, enthusiasm or love”
--Bo Bennett
My Thoughts:
Our Heart is like a box that can hold only one kind of emotion. When there is one emotion inside, you cannot put another one inside unless the existing is removed.

So that’s clear, one at a time, it’s your choice.

“Beware so long as you live, of judging people by appearances.”
My Thoughts:
Have you seen Mahatma Gandhi? If you look at his appearance, you would see an old man, thin, without shirt……simple person.

If you have judged him by his appearance, then you might think that he is such an ordinary man. But the reality is that inside this simple appearance he was a great man. So don’t judge people by appearances, its only a illusion.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 6 Mar '09

“They can do all because they think they can.”
My Thoughts:
All you need is self confidence. Simple quote…..nothing much to say.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Thursday, 5 Mar '09

“Always hold your head up, but be careful to keep your nose at a friendly level.”
--Max L. Forman
My Thoughts:
I have seen many people who are high ups but they get along so good with people that it makes things so pleasant for all. But then I also know so many people who are not of high authority but they treat people like slaves, of no importance.

Remember, you can obtain people’s respect and friendship either by force or by their will. And you would prefer the latter one!
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 4 Mar '09

“You better live your best and act your best and think your best today, for today is the sure preparation for tomorrow and all the other tomorrows that follow.”
My Thoughts:
There are broadly two ways of doing things, either you do it half heartedly or give your best. Don’t you think that the second way of doing things is good?

Of course it is, when you give your best the best comes back to you. So give your best today to get best tomorrow.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 3 Mar '09

“If you're never scared or embarrassed or hurt, it means you never take any chances.”
--Julia Sorel
My Thoughts:
How boring is life if you don’t have any risk, excitement…..involved! And as boring as such a life are those people who never take chances.

Such people take calculated steps and expect calculated outcomes. But life is much more that this. If you are ever scared or embarrassed or hurt then that’s OK. That’s life, all that matters is going ahead.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Monday, 2 Mar '09

“Remember, when the world pushes you to your knees, you're in the perfect position to pray”
--Anonymous
My Thoughts:
Once my teacher asked to the class – when so you pray the most? And most students answered – during exams. Yes, that’s true that we pray only when things go beyond our hands.

But understand that things are never in your hand, even if apparently they are. So then if things aren’t in your hand, then you should always pray. Always seek help from God Almighty. And when you develop this attitude, you are in the perfect position to pray.

“To succeed is nothing, it's an accident. But to feel no doubts about oneself is something very different: it is character.”
--Marie Leneru
My Thoughts:
I our society, there are predefined things, you do this – you succeed; you do that – you fail. And almost 90% of things fall under this criteria.

So to succeed is just another thing. But yes, when you follow something and then believe that you have followed the set rules, then if you succeed – it’s by accident. Whereas when you believe in you yourself and in whatever you do – that’s your character.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 27 Feb '09

“Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear.”
My Thoughts:
You cannot be a driver without a car. When there would be no car, how would you drive. Similarly, you cannot be courageous without fear. Where there would be no fear, against whom would you show the courage?

Courage is not the absence of fear, but it is doing the right thing, correct actions in spite of that fear.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Thursday, 26 Feb '09

“Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole truth, or the only truth.”
My Thoughts:
Of course you should fight for your opinion. If you think something is correct then you should stand for your point of view. But there are times that whatever you know could be half the story.

And this half knowledge of yours would have led you to a wrong conclusion. Thus, do not rule out the case that you could be wrong. So stand for your views but don’t be adamant by ignoring the facts that come your way.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 25 Feb '09

“Love the moment, and the energy of that moment will spread beyond all boundaries.”
My Thoughts:
Emotions are so contagious. Look at some happy face and you just smile. And look at the sad one and you become sad…

Wherever human emotions are involved, they move beyond that person, beyond all boundaries. These emotion, whether positive or negative, are strong energies that flow in all direction and affect everyone who comes in contact with them.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 24 Feb '09

“Society, my dear, is like salt water, good to swim in but hard to swallow.”
--Arthur Stringer
My Thoughts:
I always felt that in our society, there are many things that shouldn’t be there. Or it could have been little better.

But then still as it is, without any changes, I can stay in the society – stay happily! But then it is OK that I can stay in this society but difficult to accept few things.

“I never think of the future - it comes soon enough.”
My Thoughts:
Life is so fast moving! You are there just thinking about it and then life surprises you with all together a new thing.

It’s great that you are planning for future, but don’t be so engrossed in the planning that life may surprise you with something new.

“Of what use is freedom of speech to those who fear to offend?”
My Thoughts:
Freedom of speech is the fundamental right of every Human being. But then we don’t exercise this right of ours. We always think that if we told the truth, then it would offend someone.

Understand that saying truth is better than offending someone. Because when you tell the truth you might offend that person once. But when you hide it and if that person himself finds that then he would be offended every time he thinks of you.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 20 Feb '09

“Rather fail with honor than succeed by fraud.”
My Thoughts:
This particular quote is very simple, just one liner, but that very complex to explain. I would not preach this; as this very thing of honesty is in-built in all of us.

All you have to do is activate this in-built feature in you and morally understand that it is honor that is more important than success. There are many avenues where you could earn success. But if honor is lost, it’s hard to earn it back.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Thursday, 19 Feb '09

“The past is finished. There is nothing to be gained by going over it. Whatever it gave us in the experiences it brought us was something we had to know.”
--Rebecca Beard
My Thoughts:
That’s certainly a straightforward quote. You would not sit a one place and cry for what you have lost in the past or nor will you stop if you get a success.

The past is over, concentrate on the present and act wisely. You can have only one takeaway from the past – experience.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 18 Feb '09

“One man practicing sportsmanship is better than a hundred teaching it.”
My Thoughts:
Action speaks louder than words –You would have heard this many times. The above quote sends a similar message.

Many people would teach you what to and what not to do. But that it is less effective that a person showing you the same thing by himself doing it.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 17 Feb '09

“It is better to wear out than to rust out.”
My Thoughts:
So do you want to die just like anyone on a hospital bead or do you want to die fighting for a cause? Of course you want to die for a cause.

Everyone would die one day, then why not put ourselves for a cause and wear out for that cause. That’s certainly better than rusting at home and dying for nothing.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Monday, 16 Feb '09

“Nobody will believe in you unless you believe in yourself.”
My Thoughts:
You know what; it just seems written all over your face when you don’t believe in yourself. People can just look at your face and tell that whatever you are telling them, you yourself is not just convinced by the idea.

So if you want to promote an idea then first you have to believe in the idea. And then only you can be confident that people will be convinced by the idea.

“Behind every successful man, there is an untold pain in his heart.”
--Bill Jacobs
My Thoughts:
All I want to say about this quote is that success is not an easy endeavor. You have to gain pain before you can capture success.

That’s a common thing and if you are successful without any pain gain; they definitely you are also lucky.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 13 Feb '09

“Write your sad times in Sand; Write your Good times in Stone.”
My Thoughts:
You would not like to remember sad time. But then they are written in your memory. So to get rid of them, think that they are written in that part of your memory that is like sand. Once the wind and waves of time move over them, it would wash those written memories.

Where as yours good memories are those which you would like to cherish. So, to not to forget them, remember as if they were written on stone, the wind and waves of time cannot wash them away.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Thursday, 12 Feb '09

“Is life worth living?
Aye, with the best of us,
Heights of us, depths of us -
Life is the test of us!”
My Thoughts:
Yes, life is worth living! But it is worth living when you can give your best. Best in all areas, what ever you do; when you are at the top (height) or at bottom (depth).

But remember that it’s not as easy as you think. Life is actually a test you need to pass and then only can you say that it is worth living.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 11 Feb '09

“You create your opportunities by asking for them.”
My Thoughts:
I have said a lot of time in my previous quotes that opportunities are there for you, all you have to do is – find them and grab them.

You can’t sit back and say that opportunities are not coming. You have to catch them; ask for them. And you can’t be still if you want something.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 10 Feb '09

“More life may trickle out of men through thought than a gaping wound”
My Thoughts:
Trickling blood is an indication of life. But those people who cannot think are virtually lifeless.

They cannot think for their life. Your thoughts are great indication of your life than a trickling blood.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Monday, 9 Feb '09

“Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative”
My Thoughts:
We have a 5 day fun-learning festival every year at my office. We have lots of events during that 5 day period. As a lead organizer for the event, I was brainstorming with the team and they were telling me the same ideas that we had last year.

And when I rejected those ideas, they said they want consistency. I replied that if you don’t have any ideas then don’t conceal your lack of imagination by saying that. And then I came across this quote which fits my situation.

“The philosophy of one century is the common sense of the next”
My Thoughts:
Yes it is. A few decades back supercomputers or rather computers were rather a philosophy or great ideas.

But now they are so common. Even the old supercomputers can’t compete with today’s mobile phones. So that only means that your kids would be much smatter than you are!
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 6 Feb '09

“We don't receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves after a journey that no one can take for us or spare us.”
My Thoughts:
You have the capability of being wise. But wisdom is not that you can buy. Nor can someone pass it to you.

You have to search for it. And you have to search it first in yourself. And you can find it by having a journey; the journey of life which no one can take for you.

“Humor is a rubber sword - it allows you to make a point without drawing blood.”
--Mary Hirsch
My Thoughts:
I have tried that, many a times, and it certainly works. You could hit the point; get your work done even without hurting someone.

But let me tell you that this does works in all situations. You cannot go to war with a rubber sword. So when you actually have to draw blood, this wont work.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 3 Feb '09

“Hate no one; hate their vices, not themselves.”
My Thoughts:
If your best friend was suffering from certain disease, would you hate him? Certainly not, but you would hate his disease.

Similarly, a person is not evil, but his actions are. He is actually suffering from a disease of evil. So don’t hate the person, hate the disease of evil and vice in him.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Monday, 2 Feb '09

“You are not responsible for what people think about you. But you are responsible for what you give them to think about you.”
--Stanley Ferrard
 My Thoughts:
Of course you don’t have control over people’s mind and thoughts. Nor can you stop them from thinking. But like process needs an input to get an output, like wise, the thought process also needs an input to give an output - the better the input, the better the output.

And this is now in your hands that you feed people with good input. And the input here is your actions. The better your actions are, the better people would think about you.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Sunday, 1 Feb '09

“Love your job but don't love your company because you may not know when your company stops loving you.”

So that’s more direct quote, especially in times when companies have started laying off people.

That’s it from my side, not much to say.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Saturday, 31 Jan '09

“Look for the ridiculous in everything and you will find it.”
My Thoughts:
As I have told I my previous thoughts that a person, specially the so called knowledgeable men, would see everything as ridiculous.

But if you understand, then every thing is what it is for a reason. And it is totally ridiculous to think that something is ridiculous because it is not the way you wanted.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 30 Jan '09

“All of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon - instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.”
My Thoughts:
Don’t we all day dream? We all do that. We think of big things, and that’s OK. There is no harm in thinking big. In fact you should think big to act big.

But that does not mean that you be lost in your big thoughts and dream and stop living your present and real life. No, enjoy the present because it’s a present so that you can achieve your dreams.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Thursday, 29 Jan '09

“Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don't turn up at all.”
My Thoughts:
Hard work not only highlights the character of a person but also many more things. It tells you how a person looks at things.

His attitude towards life and work, how he handles situations and take decisions.

“Nothing can be so amusingly arrogant as a young man who has just discovered an old idea and thinks it is his own.”

“The intelligent man finds almost everything ridiculous, the sensible man hardly anything.”
My Thoughts:
This happens with most of us. When we think we know something or about something, we want that our way. And when that stuff is not the way you want, it seems ridiculous.

Where as the sensible man, even he knows that something, would know that things are the way they are for a particular reason. That does not mean that we need not improve things, of course we should but without looking at things as if they were ridiculous.

“The four important looks in your life - Look back and get experience, Look forward and see hope, Look around and find reality, Look within and find confidence.”

My Thoughts:
This is such a wonderful quote! Just see how by merely looking at four different places can find four precious things.

Look at your past, learn from mistakes and get experience. Look optimistically at your future and see hope. Look at present and things around and you know what’s happening and Look at yourself and find out what are you capable of and be confident.

“The safest way to double your money is to fold it over and put it in your pocket.”
My Thoughts:
This is more applicable now, in such hard financial times, than ever before. That’s a simple ideology, no pain no gain.

So if you want to safeguard your money, then the only way is to keep it to yourself. You could not gain anything unless you make your money move out of your hand.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 23 Jan '09

Quote & Thought for the Day -- Thursday, 22 Jan '09

“What I know for sure is that what you give comes back to you.”
My Thoughts:
Your deeds in this world work like a ball thrown at a wall. I would bounce back. The more intensely you strike, the more forcefully would it come back.

And it works for all the deeds. You do good and good would bounce back, you do evil and evil would bounce back.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 21 Jan '09

“Men are wise in proportion, not to their experience, but to their capacity for experience.”
My Thoughts:
When I read this Quote, I remember my English Teacher, Prof. Anthony. He used to tell us about his experiences about teachers with horrible English, who he claims have been teaching English for more that 10 years!

While telling this, the point Prof. Anthony wanted to make was that when these teachers said they had 10 years of experience, they actually meant they had effectively 2 years of experience and for the rest 8 years they repeated the same thing they had learned for the first 2 years. So people are proportional to what they have learned from their experience.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 20 Jan '09

“It's choice - not chance - that determines your destiny.”
My Thoughts:
I do believe in destiny and know that it’s all already written there. I am doing something or I am at some place only because it’s my destiny that I am following.

But then you have your own free will to take your decisions. So you are at that place because you have made a decision and so you have determined your destiny.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Monday, 19 Jan '09

“The excellence of a gift lies in its appropriateness rather than in its value.”
My Thoughts:
You gift a friend with a car, but he doesn’t have home. Your gift is cool and expensive. But is that appropriate for your friend who doesn’t have a home to stay?

So from your point of view, a particular gift may be excellent but a gift is excellent only if it appropriate to the need of that person.

So try till you succeed. But if you fail, then fail better. And how do you fail better? Learn from your failures.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 16 Jan '09

“If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.”
My Thoughts:
You always have thought that some day or the other I would get the opportunity - I would be promoted to designation or one day I would tell her how much I loved her.

But then you never get that opportunity. So what do you do? Wait & watch? Certainly not; you have to do your part so that one day opportunity knocks your door.

"It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation."
My Thoughts:
There are lots of thoughts that are striking as I type this post. But you know what…..this quote is worth giving a try than to just keep reading it.

I would try till I come up with something innovative or maybe something that’s my own. And if I would fail, I would be happy because I didn’t copy someone.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 14 Jan '09

“The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance - it is the illusion of knowledge.”
My Thoughts:
Many a times we are trying to solve something or are in search of something and we don’t succeed. Is that because of our ignorance?

May be, but most of the times we think we are smart and assume a lot of stuff and ignore the vital details. That is what the illusion of knowledge is. You thing you know, but that is all illusion.

My Thoughts:
It’s all already written in your destiny; that is what I believe. You would find yourself, many a times, in such a situation where you would ask yourself – what am I doing here or why am I doing this

But the reality is that you are doing something or are at some place only because it’s your destiny and you can hardly do anything about it. All that is in your hand is that give your best.

It is often stated that truth is painful. Yes it is, but you cannot runaway from it. But once you tell the truth, you are relieved of the burden and so is the receiving end.

Those who prefer to hide truth with lies; they are torturing themselves and others. They cannot concentrate on the future as they have to keep hiding the truth.

“Our lives improve only when we take chances - and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves.”
My Thoughts:
It is very easy to fool someone. We do it every day with every second person. But can you fool yourself?

If you can answer the above question then you have already taken chance to improve your life.

“Life is tough, and if you have the ability to laugh at it you have the ability to enjoy it.”
My Thoughts:
Yes life is tough, and everyone would agree with me. Each day is a battle.

But how do you enjoy in a battle? Just accept things the way they come. Well that is what I have to say, rest all is up to you.

“The world is not interested in the storm you encountered, but whether you brought the ship to safety”

My Thoughts:
Yesterday I met an old friend of mine. He is in the Indian Army. He shared lots of his army experiences with me and he says that in army they accept no excuses. They say its your look-out, that’s your problem.

Well and I realize that many a times in this world nobody is interested whether you had a problem or some difficulty. All they want to see is you performing and giving results.

“A fine quotation is a diamond on the finger of a man of wit, and a pebble in the hand of a fool.”
My Thoughts:
If you gift someone with something, then the receiver has two options – take that gift as precious belonging or just take that gift and throw it in the junk box.

Same is with advise and quotations, it is up to the receiver of the advise – either treat it as precious and use it or to throw it in the junk box by not using it.

“Never knock on Death's door: ring the bell and run away! Death really hates that!”
My Thoughts:
Enjoy the Quote and don’t try this at Home or Office or elsewhere!
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Monday, 5 Jan '09

“A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world. Everyone you meet is your mirror.”
My Thoughts:
If you look at the world with a red glass, you see the world red; if you see the world with a green glass, you see the world as green.

There is also a glass in your mind, the glass of perception. But here that glass not only filters the light of reality but reflect your perception and thoughts.

“When you are right you cannot be too radical; when you are wrong, you cannot be too conservative.”
My Thoughts:
That’s not allowed, that’s not at all feasible. What?? It’s not allowed to be at the extreme of anything even if you are right or wrong.

And also it is feasible, because people would not at all accept you when you are at the extreme. And that’s not my words, but of a man who has great experience.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 2 Jan '09

“The future is uncertain but this uncertainty is at the very heart of human creativity.”
My Thoughts:
When we are in our comfort zones, we are lazy, we don’t tend to work or think. But when there is uncertainty like the recent financial crisis.

We don’t know what would come next in our way. And so we start preparing and most of times preparing for future involves lots of creativity. And this is how that uncertainty is at the very heart of human creativity.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Thursday, 1 Jan '09

“If someone offers you a gift, and you decline to accept it, the other person still owns that gift. The same is true of insults and verbal attacks.”
My Thoughts:
Has someone ever accepted your insults, abuses, etc? If the answer is YES that this quote is relevant to you and if the answer is NO then this quote MORE relevant to you.

When you are insulting someone, you are actually insulting your conscience. You are the one who is bearing all the bad things in your mind, on your tongue.
