Quote & Thought for the Day -- Saturday, 7 Feb '09

“The philosophy of one century is the common sense of the next”
My Thoughts:
Yes it is. A few decades back supercomputers or rather computers were rather a philosophy or great ideas.

But now they are so common. Even the old supercomputers can’t compete with today’s mobile phones. So that only means that your kids would be much smatter than you are!
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 6 Feb '09

“We don't receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves after a journey that no one can take for us or spare us.”
My Thoughts:
You have the capability of being wise. But wisdom is not that you can buy. Nor can someone pass it to you.

You have to search for it. And you have to search it first in yourself. And you can find it by having a journey; the journey of life which no one can take for you.

“We're not lost. We're locationally challenged.”
My Thoughts:
That’s a management way of saying that I am lost. Just enjoy the quote!
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 4 Feb '09

“Humor is a rubber sword - it allows you to make a point without drawing blood.”
--Mary Hirsch
My Thoughts:
I have tried that, many a times, and it certainly works. You could hit the point; get your work done even without hurting someone.

But let me tell you that this does works in all situations. You cannot go to war with a rubber sword. So when you actually have to draw blood, this wont work.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 3 Feb '09

“Hate no one; hate their vices, not themselves.”
My Thoughts:
If your best friend was suffering from certain disease, would you hate him? Certainly not, but you would hate his disease.

Similarly, a person is not evil, but his actions are. He is actually suffering from a disease of evil. So don’t hate the person, hate the disease of evil and vice in him.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Monday, 2 Feb '09

“You are not responsible for what people think about you. But you are responsible for what you give them to think about you.”
--Stanley Ferrard
 My Thoughts:
Of course you don’t have control over people’s mind and thoughts. Nor can you stop them from thinking. But like process needs an input to get an output, like wise, the thought process also needs an input to give an output - the better the input, the better the output.

And this is now in your hands that you feed people with good input. And the input here is your actions. The better your actions are, the better people would think about you.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Sunday, 1 Feb '09

“Love your job but don't love your company because you may not know when your company stops loving you.”
My Thoughts:
So that’s more direct quote, especially in times when companies have started laying off people.

That’s it from my side, not much to say.
