Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 11 Mar '09

“Real strength is not just a condition of one's muscle, but tenderness in one's spirit.”
--McCallister Dodds
My Thoughts:
Mother Teresa was a old woman, weaker physically. But does that physical weakness stop her from spreading the message of peace? Certainly not!

All that matters is the strength of the inside. The strength to do the right thing is courage.

“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier.”
My Thoughts:
In the previous quote by Mother Teresa, I had mentioned how a small gesture of gratitude can create a better world.

And this piece of quote states more or less the same. Lets make an effort that whenever we meet someone, we greet them with the best we can and when we part away from him, he should be more happier that he was before meeting us.

“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”
My Thoughts:
When I was in school, short moral lessons were a part of our syllabus. I remember one of those stories in which a man while alighting from a cab thanks the cabbie.

The cabbie, surprised by the behavior, asked -- everyone just walks away by paying the fare, why he thanked him. The passenger replied that when I thanked you, you smiled and I made your day. And this smile and happiness will make you to cheerful and in turn you would also delight your customers. And in turn those people would delight others.

So the epidemic of happiness and cheerfulness starts with just small things, try it, NOW!
