"The man who views the world at 50 the same as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life."
My Thoughts:
When I read this Quote, I remember my English Teacher, Prof. Anthony. He used to tell us about his experiences with teachers with horrible English, who he claims have been teaching English for more that 10 years!

While telling this, the point Prof. Anthony wanted to make was that when these teachers said they had 10 years of experience, they actually meant they had effectively 2 years of experience and for the rest 8 years they repeated the same thing they had learned for the first 2 years.

I feel that there is always something new to be learned, each day….err…each moment. A person who had not learned anything from his life has wasted the precious time of his life.

These were my thoughts, Looking forward to hear it from you
"We can let circumstances rule us, or we can take charge and rule our lives from within."
My Thoughts:
I would like to share a story which I had received from a friend by email. I goes like this….
Jerry was the kind of guy you love to hate. He was always in a good mood and always had something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"
He was a unique manager because he had several waiters who had followed him around from restaurant to restaurant. The reason the waiters followed Jerry was because of his attitude. He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Jerry was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.
Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Jerry and asked him, "I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?" Jerry replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, 'Jerry, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood.' I choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life."
"Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested. "Yes it is," Jerry said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live life."
I reflected on what Jerry said. Soon thereafter, I left the restaurant industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.
Several years later, I heard that Jerry did something you are never supposed to do in a restaurant business: he left the back door open one morning and was held up at gunpoint by three armed robbers. While trying to open the safe, his hand, shaking from nervousness, slipped off the combination. The robbers panicked and shot him. Luckily, Jerry was found relatively quickly and rushed to the local trauma center.
After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Jerry was released from the hospital with fragments of the bullets still in his body. I saw Jerry about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins. Want to see my scars?"
I declined to see his wounds, but did ask him what had gone through his mind as the robbery took place. "The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have locked the back door," Jerry replied. "Then, as I lay on the floor, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live, or I could choose to die. I chose to live. "Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked. Jerry continued, "The paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the emergency room and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read, 'He's a dead man." I knew I needed to take action."
"What did you do?" I asked. "Well, there was a big, burly nurse shouting questions at me," said Jerry. "She asked if I was allergic to anything. ’Yes', I replied. The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Bullets!' Over their laughter, I told them, 'I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead.'"
Jerry lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude. I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully. Attitude, after all, is everything.

I think this story is enough food for thought for this Quote. Looking forward for hear it from you
“Men die for two diametrically opposed reasons: when they value what they seek to defend, and when there is nothing worth living for.”
My Thoughts:
There is some purpose of your valuable life – this is what I have been telling in my previous quotes. And I repeat this again.

When you die, people would remember your deeds, the cause you lived for. In this world, there are people who live for a cause and there are others who don’t have a cause. So which group you want to belong?
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 4 Mar '09

“You better live your best and act your best and think your best today, for today is the sure preparation for tomorrow and all the other tomorrows that follow.”
My Thoughts:
There are broadly two ways of doing things, either you do it half heartedly or give your best. Don’t you think that the second way of doing things is good?

Of course it is, when you give your best the best comes back to you. So give your best today to get best tomorrow.

“I never think of the future - it comes soon enough.”
My Thoughts:
Life is so fast moving! You are there just thinking about it and then life surprises you with all together a new thing.

It’s great that you are planning for future, but don’t be so engrossed in the planning that life may surprise you with something new.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Thursday, 12 Feb '09

“Is life worth living?
Aye, with the best of us,
Heights of us, depths of us -
Life is the test of us!”
My Thoughts:
Yes, life is worth living! But it is worth living when you can give your best. Best in all areas, what ever you do; when you are at the top (height) or at bottom (depth).

But remember that it’s not as easy as you think. Life is actually a test you need to pass and then only can you say that it is worth living.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 10 Feb '09

“More life may trickle out of men through thought than a gaping wound”
My Thoughts:
Trickling blood is an indication of life. But those people who cannot think are virtually lifeless.

They cannot think for their life. Your thoughts are great indication of your life than a trickling blood.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 6 Feb '09

“We don't receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves after a journey that no one can take for us or spare us.”
My Thoughts:
You have the capability of being wise. But wisdom is not that you can buy. Nor can someone pass it to you.

You have to search for it. And you have to search it first in yourself. And you can find it by having a journey; the journey of life which no one can take for you.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Monday, 26 Jan '09

“The four important looks in your life - Look back and get experience, Look forward and see hope, Look around and find reality, Look within and find confidence.”
--Anonymous
My Thoughts:
This is such a wonderful quote! Just see how by merely looking at four different places can find four precious things.

Look at your past, learn from mistakes and get experience. Look optimistically at your future and see hope. Look at present and things around and you know what’s happening and Look at yourself and find out what are you capable of and be confident.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 13 Jan '09

“We don't always get to choose who we are. Sometimes, our destiny leads us to places that we don't want to go, and there's nothing we can do about it”
--Anonymous
My Thoughts:
It’s all already written in your destiny; that is what I believe. You would find yourself, many a times, in such a situation where you would ask yourself – what am I doing here or why am I doing this

But the reality is that you are doing something or are at some place only because it’s your destiny and you can hardly do anything about it. All that is in your hand is that give your best.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Saturday, 10 Jan '09

“Our lives improve only when we take chances - and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves.”
My Thoughts:
It is very easy to fool someone. We do it every day with every second person. But can you fool yourself?

If you can answer the above question then you have already taken chance to improve your life.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Friday, 9 Jan '09

“Life is tough, and if you have the ability to laugh at it you have the ability to enjoy it.”
My Thoughts:
Yes life is tough, and everyone would agree with me. Each day is a battle.

But how do you enjoy in a battle? Just accept things the way they come. Well that is what I have to say, rest all is up to you.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 30 Dec '08

“Men are not prisoners of fate, but only prisoners of their own minds.”
My Thoughts:
I have a pre-decided destiny and I believe in fate. And it is said that if something is going to land up with you then nobody can take it away from you and vice versa.

If something is in my fate, then it is surely be mines. Then the question is why should I try? This is how we become  prisoners of our own mind.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 17 Dec '08

"The purpose of life is a life of purpose."
My Thoughts:
I have been telling in the previous quotes that you are in this world for a specified purpose; a mission for which you are given a limited time span.

But most of us fail to find that mission and to be precise, choose to ignore it. Once you realize the mission, you have a purpose in life, a direction where you can progress.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Monday, 1 Dec '08

One never knows what each day is going to bring. The important thing is to be open and ready for it.”
My Thoughts:
That’s Life. Life is there to surprise you; to show you something that you had never experienced before.

And this is the fact that most of us know but ignore this. Important thing is that if you know this fact, then why are you not prepared?
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Saturday, 29 Nov '08

“But in the end one needs more courage to live than to kill himself.”
My Thoughts:
Most people commit suicide because they think that’s the easiest way to end all problems.

But is it any act of courage? Certainly not, the person who faces the life as it comes is more courageous than the one who kills himself.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Tuesday, 18 Nov '08

"Here is the test to find whether your mission on Earth is finished: if you're alive, it isn't."
My Thoughts:
It’s as simple as that…..you are alive that means you mission is not over. Each one of us on this Earth is sent for a mission, and you have limited time for completing for this mission.

I have nothing much to say on this, I am busy figuring my mission of life. Have you identified your mission of life?
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Sunday, 21 Sept '08

"Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit."

My Thoughts:
A tree which is giving a fruit or is blossoming is said to be at the peak of its achievement. Similarly, as the scholars say, a person who is in love or is loved by someone is at the peak of his achievement in life.

Is this not a great achievement that someone is loving you….?
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Thursday, 4 Sept '08

“A teacher teaches lesson first and then takes the exam. Life takes the exam first and then teaches a lesson.”
My Thoughts:
Every Teacher has a different teaching style. Life is also a great teacher and it's style is to teach it the hard way.
Not much to say today....looking forward to hear it from you.
