Quote & Thought for the Day -- Sunday, 14 Dec '08

“Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning.”
My Thoughts:
Since childhood, we have being taught to learn from our mistakes. But as we grow up, we tend to forget this lesson. And often the most forgetful, of this lesson, are the business people; who remember and show off all the happy customer testimonials.

But when it comes to unhappy costumers, we all want to be at bay. But these are the ones who would tell you what the actual problems are with your services, because they have experienced that. And all that is required is that we listen to our unhappy customers and learn from them and improve.

“A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.”
My Thoughts:
Every genius has a fool inside him and every fool has a genius inside him. Just find out in which category do you belong.

And by the way enjoy the quote.

“The bamboo that bends is stronger than the oak that resists.”
--Japanese Proverb
My Thoughts:
At times it is difficult for us to accept our mistakes. At such occasions most of us think that if we accept our mistakes, then probably others would look upon us as a weak person.

But the reality is that it is the quality of a strong person that he is able to realize and accept his mistakes. So be like a Bamboo that bends at occasion and not like the Oak that resists and break.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Saturday, 1 Nov '08

“He who will not economize will have to agonize.”
My Thoughts:
We all know the story of The Ant and The Grasshopper. The Ant works in the summer and collects food for winter where as the Grasshopper dances and sings all summer until it has no food to eat for winter.

Pointing to this story I am not talking about conservation, but of a thin balance of managing things. During this time of Economic crisis, the world over, this Quote is more applicable than ever before.

"History never repeats itself, as most people fear. People usually repeat history."
--Divine Chikobvu
My Thoughts:
It is we Humans, who make History and Repeat them. It is we, who do not learn from our mistakes or from mistakes of others.

So if you don’t learn from Mistakes, you would then make a mistake of saying that History repeats itself.
Quote & Thought for the Day -- Wednesday, 8 Oct '08

“The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.”
My Thoughts:
A mistake is not a mistake if you take something out of it. Each mistake has some learning into it. All you have to do is find that learning.

So the next time you make a mistake, you have nothing to regret if you had learned something out of it.
